Omaha Business Steps Up with $10,000 Donation to Support Homeless Veterans' Food Pantry

Omaha, NE — With food insecurity on the rise across Nebraska, veterans are among the most vulnerable population, and one local business continues to ensure veterans aren’t left behind. 42 Degrees has announced a $10,100 donation to the Homeless Veterans Food Pantry to ensure that no veteran facing hunger fights it alone.

The contribution includes a van overflowing with food items valued at $5,100, along with a $5,000 cash donation to strengthen pantry operations and outreach.

“Food insecurity affects Veterans at a 7% higher rate than the general public and can have serious consequences on overall health,” said Dr. Eileen Kingston, Director of the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System. “Donations like these are crucial in helping us give Veterans the support they need to live healthy lives. We’re incredibly thankful for this donation and the enduring support that 42 Degrees has shown to VA.”
